Feeling stuck chasing quick success? This post explores the importance of trusting the process, embracing slow growth, and staying motivated when results don’t come instantly.

It’s so exciting to start something new. The excitement, the anxiety and everything else in between is such a rush. We have big dreams for it to see succeed, and we only want the best for ourselves.

We expect things to start off with a big bang, but when it doesn’t, we’re quick to rethink the whole thing. We begin to question if it was the right move or begin to lose motivation to continue.

But let’s shift our focus.

It takes time to build something meaningful. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s hard to stay motivated when it feels like we’re not making any progress or seeing quick results.

I just opened my first Etsy store, and as exciting as it is, I can’t stop tracking the results. Seeing if anyone has viewed my page, or even better, brought one of my products.

However, I have to remember that consistency is key and that hard work will eventually pay off. This helps me build my motivation.

Redefining Success

The number of followers we have or the number of sales we make is only part of the success. The quiet parts of the story are what make up the rest. Pushing through on the hard days, learning a new skill, or finally having the courage to start are truly worthwhile actions.

Find the Joy in the Journey

You’re already achieving so much by just getting started. You’re opening up new pathways that could lead to a brighter future. Think of all the small wins you’re having along the way: new ideas and personal growth. Learning to enjoy the journey can help us feel grounded and connected to the reason why we started this journey.

So, if you’re building something new, the below is for you:

Keep showing up, keep creating and keep trusting the process. Slow growth is still growth, and one day you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come.

Keep shining,

Madeline
